Heart, mind and other important ingredients.
Abstract: theoretical - having only intrinsic form; existing in thought or as an idea but not having a physical or concrete existence.
The development of the abstracts begins with my love of art and the creative journey; an emotional response expressed in complex geometric and free-flowing shapes of light, shadow, color and line.
I combine that with the experience and skills that I have accumulated over many years.
Finally, in exciting new ways, I assemble shape, color and light
into intricate vibrant images, that I hope, will tantalize and
enchant the viewer.
What you wish to see, is exactly what they are.
The names of the abstracts come from my own inner-fantasy landscape. They are names and places that are intended to inspire the viewer, so that they can conjure a story from their own imaginations.
I start by sketching my ideas on paper and then complete them digitally.
New technology is an incredible tool that allows me to achieve images that simply could not be imagined in a traditional medium
Stunning fusion of art and science.
I’ve chosen the infused dye sublimation printing on metal method because it produces stunning luminescent images of superior durability and more importantly, extraordinary beauty.
Once the artwork is created, the image is first printed onto a sheet of high definition transfer material.
It is then placed on a specialized, pre-treated metal sheet.
Using extreme heat and tons of pressure the process turns the transfer material directly into a gas, and it literally infuses the image into the treated metal at the molecular level.
Floating art.
For my abstracts, I have selected a superior and elegant reverse frame system. The abstract appears to float off the wall. It enhances the experience by giving the work an-ethereal appearance.
